MDF Painted Toscana Style Doors Kitchen in Brampton

Project Description

Our clients were looking to replace the kitchen with a bigger and modern one. Property located in Brampton. Original kitchen was a misfit for the layouts available and size of the house. There was an unnecessary door opening which besides eating up the space was breaking the kitchen into parts. The client wanted small office working table in the kitchen. The final product immensely increased the space, functionality and now also has the nice-looking small working table adjoining patio door-a perfect setting to work peacefully while periodically glancing out at the soothing views of their backyard.

Location: Brampton, GTA
Size: L-shape Kitchen Layout 18’X10’ with a 9’x4’ Island
Designer: Abhay Sahi – Altima Kitchens and Closets

The former kitchen was originally designed and provided by the builder. The kitchen had a passage towards dining room in the middle of two walls where cabinetry was. The mechanical bulk head was a major wastage of space. The longer wall of the kitchen had unused length available for longer cabinetry. It had old maple doors and standard builder grade stain finishes; inappropriate positioning for
island and laminated countertops.

Altima Kitchens and Closets was engaged and the results are below.

Altima Kitchens and Closets removed the existing appliances, countertops, cabinets, flooring and island.
We closed off the passage way to the dining room to use the additional wall space for continuous L shaped kitchen. We knocked down the bulkhead to gain more height for kitchen elevation and convert the design into stacked cabinetry. Made full use of the extra length available until the patio door by adding a smart work-station at the end of the kitchen. Flipped the island orientation to make it double
sided with cabinetry access from both front and back as well as a mini dinette with seating for three. We corrected the positioning for microwave by rightly putting it next to the fridge so the concentration of built-in appeal is on one side and the volume created by modern white quartz can be achieved for the
longer side of the kitchen and island together. Quartz backsplash was done to achieve the seamless look for this new design. Modern Toscana Style Doors were selected to suit the other elements around the kitchen area. All-glass stacked cabinetry really enhanced the overall look of this new lengthy kitchen.
The handsomely sized pantry was added right before the workstation to give adequate storage. Not to forget the modern accessories like Spice Rack, Bin Pull-Out, Lazy Suzan, Tip-Out Sink, Soap Dispenser, Drawers, Glass Shelves in the top corner cabinet. This kitchen was a complete turn-around from its original self. Customers were truly satisfied with this renovation and the trust put into Altima.
